Hello, I'm Mandy Stephens, owner of Island Websites.
I have worked in communications for over 20 years, and now specialise in website design for small businesses and organisations.
I help clients to produce sites which really reflect them and what their business is about, so they can attract the right customers.
My background in marketing is something I bring to all my work. A website should present the right information to the right people (ie your clients!) as quickly, clearly and effectively as possible, so that's what I focus on.

After doing a degree in Behavioural Sciences, I worked as a freelance desktop publisher. This involved producing marketing, training and publicity materials for a wide variety of clients.
I also trained in electronic transcription, supporting hearing-impaired students in university lectures.
From 1998 to 2007 I was the Marketing Manager at WOMAD, an international arts organisation (Peter Gabriel’s ‘World of Music, Arts and Dance’ www.womad.org).
Our family moved from the West Country to the Isle of Wight in 2008. This was a move back home for my Islander husband Pete (check out his website at www.islandcom.co.uk if you need a book-keeper / accountant!).
In addition to web design I'm also an inspector for the Sawday's guides, discovering special places to stay on the Isle of Wight.
